Friday release: revision git04

Hello there, it's time for a new release! The revision git04 is already available from our "Download" section.

Some things to say about this release:

  • An special debug panel was included as part of the GUI for helping developers. Note: this feature is only available including the option "--with-debug" if you compile the source code of KOM and KTooN. This panel is not available from the .deb binaries.
  • Some bugs around the "Lock frame" option were fixed.

Friday release: revision git03

Here we go again! Today, we have the pleasure to announce our third release of KTooN under the Git-age.
This is a short list of our achievements for this week:

  • Finally, the Library panel is done in its version "1.0" at last! It only supports one level of directories, but it's already handy for small projects.
  • A lot of small bugs were fixed around the Exposure Sheet. Surely there are still more bugs to hunt, but the code is getting more stable.

Call for Translators!

Currently, we are working on the KTooN's wiki. For us, this is a very important step toward the consolidation of our FOSS community around the world.

One of the most big challenge we have to face, as a global project, is the language diversity of KTooN's users and our experience has shown that English contents are not enough to people from many countries, even more, when one of our goals is to provide a local appropriation of KTooN.

Friday release: revision git02

Hello there! This is our second release since we started to use GIT. It's nice to feel that every week the project gets better.
In this revision, these are the most important changes:

  • Some issues around the Polyline tool were solved, including bugs related to the Exposure Sheet.
  • The "Insert bitmap" option was enhanced a little bit.
  • The library panel is still in alpha version, but a lot of work is going on around its code. This feature has required more work than we thought initially.

Friday release: revision git01

This was a week a little wild. Finally, we did some important changes in our workflow that we were expecting to do some time ago, but they really worth it.

The most significant advances of this week were:

  • The migration of the project's code from our Subversion server to Gitorious was done (bye bye svn!). From now, the revision format will be gitNumber.

We want to say: CMS Professional... THANK YOU!

As in any FOSS project, the most complicated issue uses to be the same: money. Currently, our financial situation is pretty tight and we need to acquire more infrastructure (Apple station, backup server, etc) and pay to the hands which are making this dream coming true.
Fortunately for us, some companies are helping us to make our journey easier. One of them is: CMS Professional, which has donated one-month salary for our main developer! And because that, we want to say: THANK YOU!

Friday release: revision 1613

Firstly, we want to apologize to our community because we didn't release any revision last Friday and we don't want to lose our cool tradition ;)
Fortunately, today we have the pleasure to announce the availability of the KTooN revision 1613. In this time, the undo/redo feature was enhanced, and some work was made around the "Pen properties" panel and the basic brushes support (still partial). Testers are pretty welcome! XD

Friday release: revision 1586

This revision is the result of 2 weeks of work around the SVG support for KTooN. Currently, basic import features are available. Testers are very welcome to try the new code! :)

Friday release: revision 1572

This is our second weekly release. Some small bugs were fixed and a lot of debugging was done. Maybe end users won't notice any difference with the preview version, but the truth is that "SVG import feature" is on the way and coming soon ;)

Friday release: revision 1564

This is our first weekly release since KTooN was re-launched. Two fatal bugs were fixed and other small issues were solved. Let's give it a try!
