ktoon not functioning

I installed the debian version (simply `sudo apt-get install ktoon`
and ktoon is not working properly while giving the following messages when started from terminal:

Object::connect: (receiver name: 'KTTimeLine')
Object::connect: No such signal TFramesTable::requestRemoveFrame()

and other such messages

Is there any way to make it work please?
